Opening on the 28th September 2020 is the greatly anticipated Hotel Les Deux Gares directed by the London-based artist and interior designer, Luke Edward Hall. Known for his bold sense of colour and playful, romantic work inspired by the past and his love of fantasy, Luke was appointed to create a hotel that offers travellers a warm welcome.

We’ve taken a sneak peek inside this super stylish hotel, because we couldn’t resist a nosey to see Luke Edward Hall’s vision come to life! Read on below to find out our thoughts on the bold and bright décor…

Creative Pattern Clash

The entrance to Hotel Les Deux Gares certainly grabs your attention! A creative and inspiring space, Luke Edward Hall shows how to perfectly combine a multitude of patterns and colours to create a vibrant and exotic scheme. Forest green panelled walls line the bottom half of the wall, whilst a vintage aqua wallpaper adds interest to the space. Adorned with classic French posters and Parisian chic chairs, the room is cleverly zoned to create space for coffee breaks, or simply perch on a bold leopard print sofa or a vivid blue settee with a book and settle into the cosy communal space.

Colour Pop Bedrooms

The 33 bedrooms have been cleverly designed. They’re bright, bold and beautiful, but also simple and understated. Not overly decorated with too many patterns or colours, the rooms are fun, yet decorated to create a calming ambience, a place where travellers can relax and unwind after a busy day of sightseeing and shopping. Walls are painted in block shades of soft blue, subtle maroon or vibrant green and are finished with clashing striped headboards in bold hues of red, blue or black to create a vivid contrast. Bright clashing chairs in lustrous fabrics complete the colour block look – a considered interior that creates impact upon entry.

Traditional Bathrooms with a Twist

The perfect accompaniment to the bedrooms, the bathrooms certainly don’t disappoint either! Geometric floors work in contrasting harmony with plush pink tiles, and sumptuous shades of traditional pastel ceramics combine to create a playful interior with just the right balance of pattern. To complete the look Luke adds complementing shades of red for added depth and a touch of daringness. Alternatively, the more uplifting bathrooms are adorned with yellow square tiles and clashing pastel green ceramics for a mood-enhancing space to admire.

The Perfect Parisian Bistro

The café continues the Hotel Les Deux Gares story. Patterned floors are combined with daring shades of red to create a classically French-inspired interior. Providing travellers with a typical Parisian dining experience, the interior is rustic, chic and oh-so French! Mirrors elevate the space and fun striped yellow bistro seating completes the look.

Luke Edward Hall’s energy extends throughout every inch of this eccentric hotel to create a seamless interior, which is inspiring, captivating and uplifting.
