Hi Beth, first things first, please can you introduce yourself to our LIV followers?

Hi, I'm Beth.

I'm a 28 year old second-time home owner. I live with my husband Paul and our border terrier George in our 1910s end terrace.

We got the keys in May this year after selling our first home together, which was a small Victorian terrace that we completely renovated.

What inspired you to start sharing your beautiful home?

My private instagram account quickly became cluttered with all the interiors accounts I was following, so I couldn't see anything friends were posting anymore!

I was also definitely boring friends with all my house posts, so eventually I plucked up the courage to set up my own interiors account, where I could indulge my love of home decoration in a dedicated space.

Please could you describe your interior style, has it always been the same or has it evolved over time?

I have always loved interiors ever since I was allowed to decorate my own bedroom as a teenager.

My taste has evolved over the years but I think the core principles are the same; colourful, eclectic, with a love of vintage and upcycling.

What is your favourite part of your lovely home?

We have only decorated three rooms so far, but I love the front living room (or 'snug' if I'm feeling posh).

It's a small but cosy room, with beautiful original parquet flooring.

What brands or trends inspire you or your house purchases?

I don't think much about trends, I just buy what I like!

However, I am a long-time lover of Homesense as you never know what you might pick up there!

What interior Instagram accounts inspire you, could you name your top 3?

This is a hard question as I'm always finding new accounts which I love, but at the moment my top 3 based on my 'saved' folder are:

1. @thehouseicreated

2. @geordie_jens_abode

3. @casabry

Your dog looks very cute

and he looks like

he is

very spoilt. Does he have a favourite spot in your home?

Haha he goes wherever he pleases, which is usually on one of the velvet sofas with a feather cushion under his head! 🙈

What is your favourite colour to style your amazing home with?

My absolute favourite colour is green!

I am making sure that it features in every room in the house to create cohesion and flow between the rooms.

We love your neon sign, what item in your home could you not live without?

My auntie left me a vintage sofa in her will, which is now in our study.

I had always admired it and I am so pleased to finally have a place for it (it didn't fit anywhere in our previous home).

Did your house keep you busy during lockdown?

At the start of lockdown back in March we were still in our old home, all packed up and ready to go!

We ended up being delayed for a few months, so when we eventually got the keys to our new home in May I was definitely ready to start a new project!

What's your favourite house purchase you have made in 2020?

I think my favourite is our neon sign as I had wanted one for a while so we decided to get it custom made as a first anniversary gift to ourselves!

It features the lyrics to First Day Of My Life by Bright Eyes, which is the song I walked down the aisle to.

And finally what does the future hold for @_bethathome is there anything up your sleeve or is the house complete?

There is a LOT left to do, including new kitchen and bathroom!

As soon as I finish one room I am always itching to do the next, so there's a lot more to come in 2021!
