Next year’s colour forecasts are set to have a spectacular range of shades, from the cooling hues of WGSN’s A.I Aqua to the warming tones of Dulux’s Brave Ground, the overall theme of these new trends is looking to create a home where we can relax, recharge and feel at ease. We are seeing a lot of natural colours as well as bright hues too, in the hope that they will add a sense of calm and cheerfulness to our lives for the new year we’re about to embark on.

 

Dulux Colour of the Year - Brave Ground

A warm and bolstering shade that embraces nature, Dulux colour experts have chosen Brave Ground as their colour of the year.

This earthy tone brings a sense of stability and growth back into interiors; and provides a firm foundation for change and creativity across homes. Being a very versatile shade, Brave Ground also blends beautifully with a variety of other colours – providing us with a complementary finish that will transform rooms. A lot of us are already using this colour across our walls or even through homeware and accessories. Pantone Colour of the Year

Bringing a fresh and new outlook to 2021, Ultimate Gray and Illuminating are the new shades chosen by Pantone as colours of the year for 2021. The American colour company believes that the pairing of these shades will assist in uplifting spirits in a world that’s set to face increasing uncertainty. Illuminating is a bright and cheerful yellow sparkling with vivacity, bringing a fresh new appeal to our lives. Whilst Ultimate Gray provides a soft and complementary colour to accompany the vivid hue. It quietly assures, encouraging feelings of composure, steadiness and resilience.
