Two Worlds Collide: GP & J Baker x H&M Collection

LIV for Interiors / GP & J Baker x H&M Collection

The iconic British wallpaper and textile house GP & J Baker is the latest in a long line of H&M collaborations. The brand has designed a ready-to-wear womenswear collection featuring wallpaper prints from GP & J Baker’s archives.

We are in love with the light, romantic style of the prints – all of which are over 100 years old – and think the pieces would be perfect additions to both the work and casual sides of your wardrobe. “We are thrilled and honoured to be collaborating with H&M. The prints selected are part of GP & J Baker’s unique DNA,” explains Ann Grafton, Managing Director and Creative Director of GP & J Baker.

The prints include William Turner’s ‘Magnolia’, painted for the house in 1913. The classical romantic prints of ‘Oriental Bird’, ‘Blossom’ and ‘Hydrangea Bird’ contrast perfectly with the more art deco and geometric patterns of ‘Fretwork’ and ‘Boxwood Trellis’. Grafton adds “They are some of our most iconic and most treasured designs, so to see them continuing their journey into a new arena in such an innovative and interesting way in the world of fashion is a wonderful prospect”.

We think it is beautiful to see the fashion world sourcing inspiration from interior design, as more often than not it is fashion trends influencing home design styles.

We’ve featured some of our favourites pieces below. They are all effortlessly feminine in an understated and powerful way – making them perfect for all those #girlbosses out there. Our favourites have to be the wide trousers and jumpsuits, while the matching blouses and trousers would make us feel chic and confident in any situation.

Head over to our Instagram page and let us know which piece is your favourite!

The range is available to buy online at hm.com and in selected stores now.
