Inside a Fashionista's Dream Kitchen
We are always on the lookout for beautiful homes that we can all add to our Pinterest boards in the hope that our future DIY can maybe recreate the look (even if only a little).
Our latest inspiration has come from deVOL’s Bath Larkhall Kitchen. Owned by a fashionista and a chef, the effortlessly chic styling of this kitchen embodies both of their interests. The chef hosts private dinners in this kitchen and we can’t work out which we would be more excited about, the kitchen or the food!
Any of you thinking about having an extension take note: this kitchen is a seamless extension. The designers incorporated the exterior Bath Stone to create a textured backdrop for deVOL’s cupboards. The result is a bright, natural kitchen that uniquely combines urban and rustic styling.
We love how the use of dark cabinetry contrasts against the light, natural beauty of the Bath Stone wall. By mixing their Inky Blue Black and Natural dyes, deVOL created an understated, neutral cabinet shade that complements the space perfectly. Integrating the appliances into the kitchen island enabled the homeowners to continue this seamless finish across the whole project.
We are obsessed with the modern rustic aesthetic at the moment – if you haven’t seen our tour of a beautiful, modern rustic London home check it out here – the combination of clean lines and minimalist finishes with traditional styles is a wonderful way to create a stylish home. DeVOL’s work on this kitchen encapsulates the nuanced style of this trend, and its use of shelves in lieu of cupboards is a great example of how you can achieve a similar look in your home.
